St. Patrick's Day hat, coins, and horshoe
Dancing Irish fiddler

So much fun…so much confusion! But what else to do when St. Patrick’s Day is on a Friday, 3.17, Pi Day is on 3.14, and Spring starts on 3.21? It seems there is no other option than two have two nights of celebration. I’m sorry about the confusion, but you will thank me at some point.

  • Tuesday, March 14, 7:30 PM:
    • 3/14 aka Pi Day (π = 3.14159… for math geeks and engineers alike)
    • McTeggart Irish Dancers will be performing for us and then leading a céilí dance
  • Tuesday, March 21, 7:30 PM:
    • Spring Equinox plus twenty hours (March 20, 2023 at 3:24 pm MDT is the equinox)
    • TNFD St. Patrick’s Day Party/Spring Thing (subsequent “Spring Fertility Festival” date TBD)

For those new to the “party,” here’s how it works. On special Tuesdays, we celebrate holidays, birthdays, or just for the halibut (or for the gefilte fish). People bring savory or sweet snacks for all to share. Your participation in the party eats is encouraged, but not required. There won’t be any teaching of new dances, and there will be party breaks for socialization. The goal is to have fun, and we always achieve a “Significantly exceeded expectations” rating.

I hope to see you all on Tuesday and on Tuesday.

See you next Tuesday,
David
