The Avalon, Sodal Hall
6085 Arapahoe, Boulder, CO

Please bring a snack to share. Grab your friends and your dance shoes! Many of the dances are easy to follow if youโ€™re still on your feet. Even if youโ€™re weary from holiday exertions, there is plenty of room to sit, watch the band and dancers, and let the exquisite sounds of Balkan music wash over you.

For the members of Barbelfish Balkan Band, this party is an annual opportunity to learn new tunes, revive beloved favorites, and present a wide diversity of dances. Theyโ€™re mostly circle/chain dances, with just a few couple dances thrown in.

Barbelfish plays music from the Balkans and beyond. The eveningโ€™s program will include dances from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Romania, and Macedonian and Serbian Rom traditions.
